Aprilia factory rider Marco Bezzecchi has mentioned that his mentor Valentino Rossi provides him with advice based on data that Rossi has privileged access to, as per a conversation with Motorsport.com during the recent Spanish Grand Prix weekend where Rossi was in attendance. Bezzecchi assured that he maintains a strong connection with Rossi despite switching from Rossi’s VR46 Ducati team to Aprilia for 2025 and that Rossi’s advice has been valuable. Rossi, who retired in 2021 and now manages the VR46 team, remains actively involved in mentoring young riders from his academy, offering insights both on and off the track. Although Rossi’s presence in the MotoGP paddock has become less frequent post-retirement, his impact on his academy riders, like Bezzecchi, remains significant as he continues to offer valuable advice and support.
